Details

From the saddle to the sunset and beyond.
Before it became a handbag, it travelled a different road.
This piece began life as part of a traditional saddle bag, woven by hand and carried on horseback across villages, fields, and winding country paths. Created for a life of movement, it was made to endure long journeys and changing seasons.
Its warm palette of amber, terracotta, rose, and earth reflects the colours of the setting sun across the landscape. The geometric motifs speak of craftsmanship passed from one generation to the next, while the woven stripes carry the rhythm of roads travelled and stories gathered along the way.
The amber-toned beaded handle pays tribute to its heritage, echoing the golden glow of sunset and the treasured keepsakes carried from place to place. Each bead, like each thread, becomes part of a larger story.
Today, the original saddle bag has been carefully transformed into a one-of-a-kind handbag. The spirit of the journey remains, but its purpose has changed. What once travelled beside a rider now accompanies you through everyday life.
No two pieces are exactly alike. Every mark, colour variation, and woven detail reflects the character of the original textile and the life it lived before.

Dimensions: 20H x 28L cm

Materials & Craftsmanship

All our bags are individually handmade, one by one, using 100% handwoven vintage textiles that have been carefully repurposed into new designs.

As we exclusively use authentic vintage materials, natural variations in colour, texture, weave, and signs of previous use may be present. These are normal characteristics of vintage textiles and should not be considered defects.

Due to the handmade nature and age of the materials, our bags may not have the uniform or flawless finish of factory-produced items.

All bags are fully lined on the inside to provide additional structure, protection, and durability.
