Details

Two pieces of one heritage. Two stories beautifully reborn.

Kızıl İnci, meaning “Crimson Pearl” in Turkish, is a celebration of Anatolian heritage, traditional craftsmanship and the beauty of giving history a new life.

Lovingly transformed from an authentic vintage Turkish heybe, a traditional saddlebag once used to carry belongings across the Anatolian countryside,  this unique handbag carries the spirit of generations past.

What makes Kızıl İnci especially meaningful is its connection to its sister bag, Kara İnci (Black Pearl). Both bags have been created from two different sections of the very same traditional saddlebag, each preserving a different part of its original story.

Rich crimson reds, vibrant burnt oranges, deep forest greens and delicate ivory embroidery dance across the dark woven wool, forming intricate geometric patterns that reflect the artistic traditions of Anatolia.

The warm wooden handle, complemented by beautiful burgundy leather accents and gold-tone details, brings a contemporary elegance to this historic textile. Its naturally textured black reverse offers a striking contrast to the colourful embroidered front.

By transforming an original Anatolian saddlebag into two individual handbags, Kızıl İnci and Kara İnci celebrate sustainability, slow fashion and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.

Though each bag has its own personality, they share the same roots, the same heritage and the same journey.

Once part of the same saddlebag, now two unique treasures, forever connected by their Anatolian story.

Rooted in heritage. Reborn with purpose. Carried with soul.

Materials & Craftsmanship

All our bags are individually handmade, one by one, using 100% handwoven vintage textiles that have been carefully repurposed into new designs.

As we exclusively use authentic vintage materials, natural variations in colour, texture, weave, and signs of previous use may be present. These are normal characteristics of vintage textiles and should not be considered defects.

Due to the handmade nature and age of the materials, our bags may not have the uniform or flawless finish of factory-produced items.

All bags are fully lined on the inside to provide additional structure, protection, and durability.
