Efsun, meaning “Enchantment” in Turkish, is more than just a handbag,  it is a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship and the captivating beauty of traditional Anatolian textiles.

Lovingly handcrafted from an authentic vintage Turkish heybe (saddlebag), traditionally used to carry belongings across the Anatolian countryside, this one-of-a-kind creation gives new life to a textile filled with history, character and soul.

For generations, Anatolian saddlebags were woven with intricate geometric patterns and rich, expressive colours, reflecting the creativity, traditions and craftsmanship of the communities that made them.

Efsun captures this heritage through a mesmerising arrangement of diamond-shaped motifs and delicate geometric details. Deep midnight blues, forest greens, warm terracotta, rich burgundy and soft ivory come together in a beautiful harmony of colour and texture. Each carefully woven pattern adds depth and character, creating a design that feels both timeless and full of life.

Thoughtfully transformed into a contemporary tote, Efsun features elegant black handles that bring a modern sophistication to its traditional woven design. The generous silhouette makes it a beautiful statement piece for everyday life, while preserving the distinctive charm of its vintage origins.

The back of Efsun has been intentionally left in its original vintage condition. Rather than covering or altering the natural ivory textile, we chose to preserve its beautifully aged texture and subtle traces of time.

We believe these gentle imperfections are not flaws, but precious reminders of the textile's previous life. Every variation in the weave tells a quiet story of authenticity, craftsmanship and the passage of time.

The contrast between Efsun's richly patterned front and its beautifully understated reverse reflects the essence of its name, a little mystery, a little magic and a beauty that reveals itself in different ways.

By repurposing an original Anatolian saddlebag, Efsun celebrates slow fashion, sustainability and the art of giving treasured textiles a second life.
